Very Early Smoke Detection System
Early smoke detection systems can help prevent injury and property damage by detecting fires before they become a threat:
Aspirating smoke detectors (ASD)
Also known as Early Warning Smoke Detectors (EWSD) or Very Early Smoke Detection Apparatus (VESDA), these systems sample air from a protected area to detect smoke. ASDs can detect smoke before it’s visible to the naked eye. They use a fan to draw air into a network of pipes, which is filtered and processed by a laser detection unit.
